To celebrate the upcoming winter holidays, the Washington Square Academy (a private school in Brookline for students in Grades 5 - 8) is inviting children of all ages, backgrounds, and religions to come together over hot chocolate and other tasty treats to help those in need, all while making new friends and having fun!
They will be hosting a series of events in December, as follows:
- Wednesday, December 6th, 3:30pm - 5:30pm: Create colorful, cheerful drawings to be delivered to senior citizens via colorasmile.org
- Saturday, December 9th, 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Create colorful greeting cards to be delivered to pediatric patients in nearby children’s hospitals via sendasmile4kids.blogspot.com
- Wednesday, December 13th, 3:30pm - 5:30pm and December 16th, 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Construct beds and toys for cats and dogs in the care of the Animal Rescue League of Boston
All materials will be provided by the school.
They very much look forward to bringing as many young people as possible together in a spirit of charity and good fellowship.
