Science Fair 2023 Recap

Big congratulations to all participants and to the grade 5-8 winners in this year's Heath Science Fair, which took place on Saturday March 4. For a 4th year in a row, the Science Fair was an exciting community highlight of the winter. With 91 participating scientists and 52 projects across all grades from K through 8th, Saturday's event was the largest Heath science fair to date. Projects combined hard science with practical queries, while topics ranged from dust-demolishing robots, the risks / benefits of wearing shoes in the house and volcano explorations to molecular gastronomy, Rubik's cube experiments, and effects of packaging on purchasing choices. We ended the event with a super fun performance from Mad Science and then an awards ceremony in which every participant was recognized for their amazing efforts.

Thank you to everyone for your support! Despite weather complications and a delayed start, an impressive number of guests and supporters, including Dr. Guillory and Dr. Sevelius, joined us in celebrating science. And special gratitude to the Science Fair's inspiring lead, chief organizer and MC extraordinaire, Vice Principal Patel, who has spearheaded this tradition since its inception in 2020. Mr. Patel, our students are lucky to have you as their Vice Principal!

We're already looking forward to next year's - 5th ANNUAL - event, and even more participants. We hope you will join us again - or for the first time!
