Amazing Turnout for Heath Science Fair 2022

More than 50 projects were presented this past Saturday at the Heath School's 3rd Annual Science Fair, with teams representing all grades K-8. The gym was buzzing with testable ideas and thoughtful explanations about topics ranging from the mixing of glow stick liquids to the relative size of owls' wingspans compared to their brains.

Thank you to all the students and their parents for putting in so much time and effort to develop and share your science projects. And to the volunteers who brought our community together with their planning and organizing, setting up of tables, creating of spiritwear, welcoming everyone, and sharing their expertise as judges. Thank you also to Inventor Mentor for providing the hands-on activities that kept our kids engaged, to the 8th graders for running the bake sale, and to Superintendent Dr. Guillory who found time to show up and convey his enthusiasm for our efforts.

Two special thank you's are due. First to Vice Principal Mr. Patel for providing a strong foundation of support throughout the entire process. And finally to Elinor Rosen, a Heath alumna and current BHS senior, whose initiative and example revived the science fair at Heath three years ago, and whose leadership in that time has led to its continued success.

See you all next year!
