Public Hearing on Use of ESSER III Funding

The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) program provides funding to Local Educational Agencies like the Public Schools of Brookline (PSB). This funding is to address the impact of COVID-19 on elementary and secondary schools. ESSER III is the third allocation of funding disbursed through this program. PSB will receive a total of $3,667,338 from ESSER III, to be used by 09/30/2024.

The Brookline School Committee and PSB Central Administration are committed to a public engagement process to hear from stakeholders including students, families, educators, staff, and community members on the most effective and efficient ways to invest these federal relief funds.

A hearing will be held via Zoom on October 21, 2021, at approximately 8:25 pm. If you would like to speak at the hearing, please email school_committee@psbma.org by 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021. After signing up, you will receive an email with additional information on how to provide comments during the meeting. Speakers will be called on in the order in which they signed up (2 minutes per person). Members of the public may also send written public comments to school_committee@psbma.org. Written comments will be shared with all School Committee members.
