Enrollment
The BTC is busy enrolling students for the 2024-2025 school year and we want to ensure middle school families know about us and the resource we are for youth and older teens every day after school. Enrollment info can be found here: https://brooklineteencenter.org/middle-school

We have a tiered pricing model that allows families to select a payment plan that works for them, we never want finances to be a barrier to our wonderful teen community.

Support The Cypress: Brookline’s student-run, independent newspaper!

Support The Cypress: Brookline’s student-run, independent newspaper!

Hi Hayes parents! My name is Sophia, and I’m a senior at BHS and Hayes ‘21 alum. After 9 years with Hayes K-8 English, I grew to love writing and joined BHS’s newspaper before becoming News Managing Editor this year.

Will you consider supporting our newspaper by purchasing a $30/year subscription to receive a print issue at your doorstep each month this school year? As an independent non-profit organization, we rely on subscriptions from Brookline community members to keep our 131-year-old paper running. Your subscription would not only support the pursuit of student journalism in Brookline (like our recent change-making article on deleveling); it would also ensure future students from all Brookline Public Schools have the opportunity to learn hands-on about journalism once they reach high school.

If you are interested in subscribing, please fill this form (to ensure you’re on the list for our first issue in October, please try to complete the form by Tuesday, Oct. 1). Feel free to email us at bhscypress@gmail.com with any questions. Thank you again for your support of local student journalism!

Summer Safety and Situational Awareness

6/18/2024 9:23 am

With summer’s warmer weather and the lack of structure from daily school, teens may be venturing out a lot more on their own or with friends, going to parties, “hanging” out of doors at night, taking the T into town, etc. It’s a good time to address expectations about substance use and to have a chat about situational awareness and personal safety.
