Brookline Tutor Mentor Program at BTC

9/19/2024 1:49 pm

The Brookline Tutor Mentor Program is a program running out of the Brookline Teen Center that offers FREE tutoring for all middle schoolers in Brookline and beyond. We individually pair BHS tutors with middle school students based on their academic needs, interests, personality, etc. We aim to not only provide tutors, but also friends and role models. We welcome all students, but we aim to especially reach low-income families.

Tutors and students can meet whenever and wherever is most convenient for them, for example, the Brookline Teen Center, libraries, etc. Students work on homework and other supplementary exercises to improve their grades. Students are welcome to apply throughout the course of the year as they desire.

Students are welcome to apply here: https://forms.gle/fv3bgFt6CcNHkkrG7

If you have any questions, please email us at btm@brooklineteencenter.org

Study Buddy Tutoring

9/19/2024 12:04 pm

Want to request a tutor? Try Study Buddy Tutoring! Study Buddy Tutoring (SBT) is a non-profit student-run tutoring organization for students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels in the Greater Boston area. Our mission is to provide a free, high-quality learning experience to help students of all kinds. We look to support students with the difficulties brought by the pandemic, including the shortcomings of remote learning. We also aim to combat inequality in education by supporting disadvantaged students through tutoring and fundraising for local education charities.

Although the organization was founded during the pandemic, we are happy to announce that tutors and students will have the option to meet in person this year in addition to our existing remote program. Our program provides tutoring for students of all ages and students can be tutored in any subject. Tutors and students will be matched up depending on subject and teaching preferences.

If you are interested in signing up your student for a tutor or have any questions, please fill out this form https://forms.gle/CfYgzFqg4Vw5dhzG6 or email us at tutoringstudybuddy@gmail.com, and we will start matching tutors with students as soon as possible. Check out our website at tutoringstudybuddy.weebly.com for more details!
