Brookline's First Community Preservation Act Plan

The Community Preservation Committee is in the process of developing Brookline's first Community Preservation Act Plan, which will guide us as we seek to fund projects in four areas: community housing, historic preservation, open space and recreation.

VOICES Boston focuses primarily on singing and music literacy, with an added emphasis on dance technique and drama performance. VOICES Boston empowers the youth of the Boston area with a performing arts education that develops confidence, discipline, leadership, and a love of music that will last a lifetime.

MTA Forum Featuring Best Selling Author Heather McGhee

Join us for an Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA) Forum, co-sponsored by the Brookline Educators Union, featuring a keynote by New York Times best-selling author Heather McGhee on June 7 from 3:30-5:00 at the Brookline High School’s theater at 22 Tappan St. The keynote (also the title of her book) is titled: “The Sum of Us. What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together.” There will be a Panel Discussion, following the keynote, on the Education Support Professionals Bill of Rights and Contract Campaign featuring author Nick Juravich. A book signing will follow. Books will be available for sale. Register online to attend.
