BHS Farm Opening and Planting Event

11/13/2023 12:12 pm

We’re excited to begin planting our new BHS indoor farm and hope you can join us to learn how to plant and manage the farm. The goal is to grow and produce a weekly harvest of local, nutrient dense, organic leafy greens and herbs for the BHS salad bar. Students and community members are invited to work on a regular schedule (at least one time every three weeks to plant, water and harvest). Even if you can’t commit to that, we hope you’ll join us on Monday, November 27th from 5pm to 8pm to plant our first seeds and learn about this initiative. We’ll also share more about our local food campaign and other farm-to-school initiatives. Food will be served. Please, arrive at the STEM Commons entrance at BHS, 115 Greenough Street, and proceed straight towards the rear of the building and arrive at the cafeteria. Please, RSVP here.
